Sukkah Decorating and Pizza in the Hut

09 Oct @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Shake the lulav and inhale the lovely scent of the etrog in October during several Sukkot celebrations in honor of the harvest festival.

The fun begins when we decorate the sukkah on Sunday, October 9 from 10:30 a.m. to noon, followed by Pizza in the Hut. We’re partnering with our friends at PJ Library for a family-friendly afternoon of decorating, sharing traditions, reading holiday stories, and eating pizza for lunch at our Temple sukkah. Please RSVP by Friday, October 7 to the Temple at or (260) 744-4245.

We’ll observe Sukkot and Shabbat both in person and online via Zoom and YouTube during two worship opportunities. Please join us on:

  • Friday, October 14 at 7:30 p.m. when we celebrate Sukkot and Shabbat during our service, led by Rabbi Meir. We’ll light the Sabbath candles, learn more about the symbols of the holiday, and enjoy an autumn evening of community. Enjoy Kiddush and a nosh afterward in the Temple’s sukkah, hosted by Janet Finkel and Sheryl Merritt.
  • Saturday, October 15 at 9:45 a.m., led by Ron Friedman with a D’var Torah by Rabbi Meir. Share a lovely morning of Torah and learning. Join us in sukkah afterward for Kiddush and a nosh in the sukkah.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Temple sukkah throughout the seven-day holiday.
