Hot Topics Shabbat: Food Insecurity

Share the warmth of Jewish community with our Temple family in person or on YouTube during our Hot Topics Shabbat service on Friday, September 20 at 7:30 p.m.. Rabbi Meir Bargeron will lead the service. Afterward, we’ll learn about food insecurity and the widely used food pantry at Wellspring Interfaith Social Services that allows our fellow citizens to have a daily meal.
Ermina Mustedanagic, Wellspring’s chief executive officer, will discuss the growing problem of food insecurity, how widespread it is, how it affects your neighbors, and what Wellspring is doing about it. Thank you to the Social Action Committee for hosting the program.
During the Hebrew month of Elul, our hearts and our prayers turn towards the repentance of the Days of Awe. We’ll be using using Mishkan HaLev: Prayers for S’lichot and the Month of Elul during Friday evening worship.
