Grinsfelder Exhibit

The exhibit called “A Creative Life: The Architecture and Art of Alan Grinsfelder” opened on Sunday, November 24 at the Temple. Find out more about the opening, talk and panel discussion, and reception.
Exhibit hours include this evening following the Interfaith Thanksgiving Service, which begins at 7 p.m.
Additional hours are:
- Saturday, December 7 from 1 to 4 p.m.
- Sunday, December 8 from 1 to 4 p.m.
This inspiring exhibit highlights Alan’s designs and architectural contributions to the Fort Wayne skyline during his long career with Grinsfelder Associates Architecture, along with the creativity displayed in his ongoing fine arts endeavors.
Alan’s building projects featured in this exhibition include Headwaters Park, the Foellinger Theatre, the Pyramid Building, the Hanna Creighton block (Urban League, Head Start, and Pontiac Public Library) and the downtown Community Center.
His artwork has been on display in local coffeehouses and galleries. Alan, who will turn 89 days before the exhibit’s opening, has been touted as Purdue Fort Wayne’s oldest student and continues to take art classes.
Alan and his wife, Maureen, are long-time members of the Temple and past presidents.
