Friday Night Live Shabbat & BBQ

08 Aug @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Our spirited Friday Night Live service moves outdoors at Congregation Achduth Vesholom on August 8 at 6:30 p.m., led by Rabbi Meir Bargeron with Heartland Sings on their mobile stage.

Tap your toes, get on your feet, and share the joy of Shabbat at the Temple with this lively worship experience. (Please note that the service will not be livestreamed.)

Join us prior to services at 5 p.m. for a barbeque hosted by the ROMEOs, with Hebrew National hot dogs, veggie burgers, coleslaw, vegetarian baked beans, and chips. After the service, we’ll gather around the CAV fire pit for s’mores, popsicles, and ice cream.

Kindly RSVP for dinner no later than Friday, August 1 online or contact us at (260) 744-4245 or office@templecav.org.

We also look forward to welcoming guests who are visiting Fort Wayne prior to the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies conference, which will be held August 10-14 at the Grand Wayne Center and Allen County Public Library.

Please bring your own folding/camping chairs and or blankets/sheets to sit on and long-handled sticks or forks to roast marshmallows. Bug spray is recommended. (We’ll have extras available for out-of-town guests.)

Thank you to Denny Reynolds for coordinating and the ROMEOs for hosting the meal.

Thank you to the Dr. Harry W. Salon Foundation for its support.

Our address is 5200 Old Mill Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46807
