Challah baking is a beautiful Jewish tradition that nourishes our bodies and souls every week as we prepare for Shabbat.
Join Rabbi Sarah Rosenbaum Jones to learn more about the traditions and practice of making challah on Sunday, April 18 at 11:30 a.m. via Zoom when we create gorgeous six-strand braids and infuse our practice with spirituality.
You’ll begin the process on Saturday night or early Sunday morning by making the challah dough (both written and video tutorials will be provided).
No prior baking experience is necessary. Maximum 10 participants per class. Dough instructions and materials list will be sent to registrants. RSVP to the Temple office by Wednesday, April 14 at (260) 744-4245 or office@templecav.org.
Rabbi Sarah is a Reform Rabbi Educator in downtown Chicago. She spends most of her time thinking and teaching about Judaism and chasing her toddler around the apartment. We’re excited to welcome Rabbi Sarah back to our kitchens after a delightful virtual “Noshin’ on ‘Taschen” hamantaschen class in February for Temple members.
