Lifelong Learning: Judaism and Social Action

12 Nov @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

What does Judaism have to say about repairing the world — not only through immediate acts of kindness, but also by addressing the deeper causes of injustice?

Join us for a two-part exploration with Rabbi Julia Weisz, an experienced Jewish educator and community organizer, as we uncover the Jewish roots of both social action and social justice.

Part One: Judaism and Social Action – Wednesday November 12 at 7 p.m. on Zoom.
Explore how Jewish tradition calls us to respond directly to human need—feeding the hungry, sheltering the vulnerable, and offering support in moments of crisis.

Part Two: Judaism and Social Justice – Tuesday, December 10 at 7 p.m. on Zoom.
Go deeper into the systemic and structural issues that create inequality. Learn how Jewish texts and values inspire us to pursue justice, equity, and lasting change.

Together, these sessions will invite us to reflect, discuss, and act—drawing on the wisdom of our tradition to shape a more compassionate and just world.

Kindly RSVP to office@templecav.org by Tuesday, November 11.

The Zoom link will be included in our weekly email to our Temple family.
