Yom HaShoah Commemoration

Kenneth S. Stern, Director of the Bard Center for the Study of Hate and award-winning author, scholar and attorney, will speak on “Antisemitism as a Form of Hate” during Fort Wayne’s annual community Yom HaShoah commemoration on Monday, April 13 at 7 p.m. at the Rifkin Campus.

A service of remembrance led by Rabbi Meir Bargeron will include community participants and music by Maestro Robert Nance. The service also will be on YouTube. The event is free and open to the public.

Stern’s latest book is The Conflict Over the Conflict: The Israel/Palestine Campus Debate. For 25 years, he was director of the division on antisemitism and extremism at the American Jewish Committee. Stern is the editor of Simply Human: A Guide to Understanding and Combating Hate and also served as executive director of the Justus & Karin Rosenberg Foundation.

The commemoration is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Fort Wayne and Congregation Achduth Vesholom with support from the Dr. Harry W. Salon Foundation.
