Welcome to Congregation Achduth Vesholom
September 8, 2010

Shalom!

Welcome
to our congregation.

We are truly a family. Young, old, single, married -- all have found a home with us. It is our hope that you will share the joy of Jewish living and learning with us, too. Our name means "unity and peace" -- two characteristics we feel you'll find at the Temple.

Our roots date back to 1848, distinguishing us as the oldest Jewish congregation in Indiana and the second oldest Reform congregation west of the Alleghenies.  Take a virtual tour of Temple Achduth Vesholom, see a little bit about our history, join us for services or other events, or just be in touch...

Temple Achduth Vesholom
Celebrates 160 Years!

Nirdlinger, our first home, 1848

Congregation Achduth Vesholom celebrated its 160th anniversary as the oldest Jewish congregation in Indiana in November 2008 with a focus on the arts, including two major new artworks; Joseph and His Brothers bas relief pieces by Art Cislo and From Generation to Generation, a three-demensional wall piece in the Social Hall created by Rick Cartwright, dean of The School of Creataive Arts at the University of Saint Frances.
