Our Focus on Youth

We are committed to engaging youth Jewishly at the Temple through a variety of education, social, social action, worship and summer camp opportunities.

Our Religious School offers classes for pre-school through high school students. Young people of all ages are welcome at our worship services, which also include offerings with special focus toward children and teens, such as PJ Shabbat and our annual service led by the Temple Youth Group.
Achduth Vesholom brings together an enthusiastic group of teens through FOrTY, our high school youth group, and regional and national events offered by NFTY (National Federation of Temple Youth). Our Junior Youth Group for Jewish students in grades 6, 7, and 8 meets regularly and is open to all Jewish middle-schoolers in the area.
We also promote the importance of Jewish summer camp, including camperships to help in attending overnight programs, primarily to Goldman Union Camp Institute, the Union for Reform Judaism camp in Zionsville, Indiana. Read Rabbi Cattapan's blog entry on the magic of a Camp Shabbat.
