The Temple undertakes several fundraisers each year to help the congregation's financial bottom line. These ongoing programs and special events supplement income from membership dues and donations to our Endowment Fund or other Temple funds. Our biggest fundraiser is the annual Corned Beef on Rye - Sure to Satisfy fundraiser, which since 2002 has been held in October or November. Each year, we've sold more than 1,100 sandwiches and attracted more than 100 volunteers for this socially and financially important event. Thank you to the generous sponsors who underwrite the cost of supplies.

You also can help the Temple through the Kroger Community Rewards program and with purchases of Temple cookbooks and stars on the Simcha Wall Hanging.

Honey For The Holidays

We’ve got a sweet deal coming for the Jewish New Year! We’re taking orders through August 11 for 6-ounce bottles of delicious locally-harvested honey that will be available to send to family and friends with your wishes for a “L’shana Tovah.” Find an order form.

The orders will be ready by September 8 for pick up at the Temple or to send in time for Erev Rosh Hashanah on Wednesday, September 20. For your convenience, we’ll ship the bottles for you at an additional charge of $5 per bottle. Proceeds from this new Temple fundraiser will benefit congregational programming. Thank you to Leah Hadashi and Bonnie Pomerantz for chairing!

Help The Temple Through Kroger Community Rewards

Kroger has changed its Community Rewards program. Instead of using gift cards, Temple members and friends now can register their Kroger Plus card to indicate that they’d like Achduth Vesholom to benefit from their purchases. With that one step, the Temple will receive a percentage of the amount you spend. Find out how.

Simcha Quilt

And You Shall Be A Blessing: A quilted wall hanging in the Social Hall celebrates special moments in the lives of Temple members. It features a large swath of fabric in beautiful blue hues and contains Stars of David embroidered with congregants’ simchas. Commemorate an anniversary, wedding, birthday, b’nei mitzvah, graduation, or other happy event by purchasing a large or small star for $360 or $180. Consider honoring a child, grandchild, spouse, family member or friend. Purchases benefit the Temple’s Endowment Fund.  Order forms are available in the Temple office. Thank you for your support of this lasting tribute to memorable and joyous occasions.

Treasures & Traditions

Treasures & Traditions, the Temple's cookbook, features 300 mouthwatering recipes from the culinary mavens at Achduth Vesholom. Copies are for sale at the Temple for $18. Proceeds benefit our Religious School.
