The Jewish Federation of Fort Wayne’s Rosh Chodesh group invites you to “meet” Minnette Baum during a virtual presentation by Harriet Miller on Monday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. about the remarkable Jewish immigrant from Russia who changed the way Fort Wayne addressed basic needs in the early 20th century.
Drawing on her experiences at Jane Addams’ Hull House in Chicago, Baum established a settlement house at her own home at 1313 W. Wayne Street in Fort Wayne. Many of today’s major local human service agencies can trace their origins to her efforts.
Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate International Women’s Day as we introduce Minnette Baum, a true agent of change. Harriet is a Temple member who authored The Biography of Minnette Baum in 1975.
The event is free and open to the public. For Zoom information, please contact the Federation at firstname.lastname@example.org or (260) 456-0400. Thank you to the Dr. Harry W. Salon Foundation for its continued support.
