Share Shabbat and a Jewish-themed film with us on Friday, March 15, following an abbreviated service at 6:30 p.m., led by Rabbi Lenny. Movie fans of all ages are welcome to join us for a screening of the 1991 classic “Defending Your Life.”
Written, directed and starring Albert Brooks, the PG-rated film tells the story of Daniel Miller, who dies in a car accident and arrives in Judgment City, a place before Heaven, where his life is dissected and he must "defend" his choices. Meryl Streep comes by to provide a (wholesome) romantic subplot.
Our evening at the cinema includes a movie and popcorn, with a variety of snacks and drinks offered for your enjoyment. We gratefully accept donations. Thank you to Dave Flapan for coordinating the program.
