Celebrate the Festival of Lights amid the warm glow of dozens of hanukkiyot that mark the Maccabees’ triumph over the Greeks and their rededication of the Temple. Join us on Friday, December 15 at 7 p.m. for the fourth night of Hanukkah, as Bruce Colegrove leads our service with our student musicians. Please bring your family’s hanukkiya and candles to light together.
Following the service, join us for latkes and a festive Oneg Shabbat featuring Hanukkah cookies, and sufganiyot, the jelly doughnuts that are typically served in Israel on Hanukkah. Thank you to Matthew & Nola Katinsky and family for hosting the Oneg Shabbat.
We’ll also be collecting donations of canned food items for our December Food Drive to benefit Thoughtful Thursdays. The cans will first be used to help build a giant hanukkiyah on Sunday, December 17 at 11 a.m. during Religious School in conjunction with PJ Library, the Jewish Federation of Fort Wayne, and Congregation B’nai Jacob.
