Author David Laskin will be the keynote speaker at the Grand Opening of the Madge Rothschild Resource Center on Sunday, April 30 at the Rifkin Campus at 5200. He’ll discuss "One Family, Three Journeys: How one family embodied the sweep of 20th century Jewish history." Find the schedule.
The celebration begins at 2 p.m. with an open house in the Resource Center, reception, and tours of Congregation Achduth Vesholom at 2:15 p.m., 2:45 p.m., and 3:15 p.m.
We'll have a brief program program at 4 p.m., followed by the author's talk, book signing, and reception. A copy of his book The Family: A Journey Into The Heart Of The 20th Century also is available in the Temple library.
