We’ll break the fast together as a congregation with a delicious meal prepared by the Temple ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out). Following the Ne’ilah service on Yom Kippur at about 6 p.m., everyone is invited for tuna salad, egg salad, noodle kugel, bagels, herring in sour cream, blintzes, and other delicacies. Plan to join us on Wednesday, October 12 for this special opportunity to build community.
The reservation deadline has been extended to Friday, October 7. Please RSVP to (260) 744-4245 so that we can prepare enough food and seating. Thanks to the generosity of the ROMEOs, there is no charge. However, cash donations gladly will be accepted to help offset costs. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up and other tasks. Please contact the Temple office to offer your assistance. If you would like to sponsor the sweet wine for our Kiddush, please let us know. Thanks to Rich Manalis and Chuck Replane for co-chairing the Break-the-Fast.
We will also have a table designated for those who are Jewish in their 20s and 30s. We invite you to be part of a new group that’s forming for social, educational, and volunteer activities. We’ll gather for introductions to get the ball rolling and brainstorm a few ideas for the year. Look for the sign-up sheet at the Rosh Hashanah Reception or contact the Temple office to indicate your interest.
