Our Leadership

Our Temple is run by its congregants. The officers and board of trustees, elected annually by the membership, take responsibility for the administration of congregational business. Committees work to keep the Temple running smoothly through fundraising, membership, social action, adult education, budgeting and care of the building and grounds. Meet our Temple Board.

The volunteer leadership works in partnership with our rabbi and staff, including our executive director, administrative assistant, maintenance chief, bookkeeper, and religious school administrator. Meet our Rabbi and our staff.

Leadership Development

Our Board Development Committee works to encourage involvement of our membership at all levels and, in particular, works to attract a board of directors that represents our diversity. Candidates for officer and trustee positions are nominated in the spring and voted on at the annual congregational meeting in June.

Leadership development is important for a strong future for Achduth Vesholom. Special programs are offered periodically to acquaint our members with different aspects of congregational life, including financial, spiritual and social concerns. Most attendees have increased their volunteerism, whether serving on the board of directors, committees and/or general involvement.

If you are asked to serve on the board, please give the opportunity serious consideration. There is no better way to get directly involved with the operations of your congregation and its management. If you have an interest in serving on the board or questions about the congregation, please share that interest with Board Development Chair Bobbie Golani. Your leadership makes a difference.
